Course description:
This course covers the emerging practice in Forensic Social Work especially in the area of child abuse. This course will provide general and specific view of forensic social work knowledge and skills that are required to work effectively with children and families who are victims/survivors of abuse, violence and exploitation in the context of socio-legal environment.
Objectives:
- Increase awareness of participants working with sexually abused children who are involved in the criminal justice system.
- Improve their skills in gathering relevant information that are useful for the court.
- Improve their skills on effectively conveying stories of client to the court.
