Course Description:
The course equips the participants with basic competencies in counseling persons experiencing loss due to death or separation from loves ones, including pets and loss of anything that the person is very much attached to; separation from place of abode or country of separation from place of abode or country of separation and loss job, career or dream.
Objectives:
At the end of the training participants will be able to:
- Describe each stage of the counselling process
- Discuss and demonstrate the basic counselling micro skills;
- Describe each stage of crisis and the grief cycle
- Demonstrate selected grief counselling techniques
Each child’s survival story will be different depending on their age, gender, family, experience, and many other factors in their environment.
