Course Description:
The Three (3) day training course on Child Protection in Emergencies (CPiE) is intended for child protection practitioners and other emergency responders working in humanitarian response. Practitioners will be equipped with the basic knowledge and skills on CPiE based on global and national standards and practice. The lecture is based on the Minimum Standards on Child Protection for Humanitarian Actors Manual and the training Module on Child Protection in Emergencies developed by the national child protection working group.
Training will employ mix methodologies of individual exercise, group work activities, case study analysis and lectures. Resource speakers are registered Social workers who have received international and local training on CPiE from the global child protection working group and have extensive experience in CPiE work.
Objectives:
At the end of the training participants will:
- Increase the knowledge and understanding on the basics of child protection, children’s rights child protection in emergencies and its minimum standards
- Learn to understand the legal framework in CPiE
- Identify vulnerable groups of children in emergencies and their child protection needs
- Know the intervention and strategies in CPiE


Each child’s survival story will be different depending on their age, gender, family, experience, and many other factors in their environment.
