Course Description:
Fear and anxiety were the common feelings of children testifying in court, their readiness to sit on the witness stand could make or break the court procedure. The Kids and Teens Court Awareness Program would help children be comfortable in court procedures, lessen stress and anxiety during their testimonials. This trainer’s training is for Social Workers handling child victims and child witnesses, to familiarize themselves in Kids Court program and adopt it as part of their program for children.
Objectives:
- To understand the concept of Kids Court program
- To be confident in facilitating Kids Court program
- To be orientated on how family courts facilitated Kids Court program
Each child’s survival story will be different depending on their age, gender, family, experience, and many other factors in their environment.
This is an online game which can be played by a family with easily obtainable materials to help families recognize and talk about how they are adjusting to the new normal.
